ACRO News, Term 1 2017

A very successful 2016 was closed out with a crowd pleasing display at the end of year performance day. With over 20 acrobats on the floor all working at the one time in many cases, it was a massive spectacle for those in attendance. We thank everyone for their support of the squad during the year and also the display day.

The Christmas break is a distant memory and the first trials are all too close. To attend Australian Championships in late May, you have to gain a spot on the State team. There are two chances to impress the selectors, the first being Mid-March and the second to be held at NGSC in Early April. We would love the support on the day either as a spectator or a volunteer. Please keep an eye out at the front desk for more information on how you may be able to help on the day.

May new groups have formed, and are showing steady acquisition of skills, while our established groups continue to impress with the dedication to skill perfection.

The Development squad has grown significantly this year, and as such now a Senior Squad coach is assisting once a fortnight.

We are always considering gymnasts joining these squads – please ask at the front desk on how you can organise an assessment.
